Stuart A. Kanoff concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury. He is a member of the New York State Defenders Association. His office is located at 119 Jackson Street, Hempstead, New York.
Stuart is a lifelong resident of Long Island. He attended the University of Michigan where he graduated with a degree in Economics. Upon completion of his degree in Michigan, he returned home to New York to pursue his law degree at New York Law School. At New York Law, he interned for a Federal Judge. As a Third Year Law Student, Stuart worked at the United States Trustees Office.
Immediately upon completion of his studies at New York Law and after taking the bar examination, Stuart continued his legal career prosecuting cases on behalf of injured claimants and defending criminal clients throughout New York State. He is admitted to practice law in in the Courts of the State of New York, New Jersey and Federal Court in the Eastern District of New York. From 1995 to date, he has been operating a law practice in Nassau County, focusing on criminal and traffic matters.
The firm also handles personal injury claims and other general practice areas. He has tried criminal and personal injury cases in Nassau, Suffolk, Queens and Brooklyn. Stuart’s in-court trial experience has proven invaluable for clients of the office. Stuart is also a member of the Nassau County 18b panel.
